Good carbon belt, can protect the printhead, the resulting effect can be accurately attached to the paper, not easy to spread, and not easy to fall off.

The carbon belt classifies its materials and can be simply divided into the following three types:

Wax-based Carbon belt That is, wax and carbon black (assuming the black ribbon) as the main material, as a coating material products. Wax-based carbon belt is the most economical and cheap carbon belt, mainly used for general paper printing, the use of wax-based carbon belt must pay attention to the combination of paper, wax-based carbon belt is suitable for surface feel slightly concave and convex material, more unsuitable for surface smooth as a mirror material such as pet material products.

Wax-based carbon belt about 70% of the market share, is the general printing of the first-class large paper label commonly used products.

Ricoh Resin

Resin-based carbon belt If the printed data must be able to resist solvent resistance to high temperature and so on, used in chemical product packaging, or must be resistant to high temperature, used for electrical heating parts, or must be printed on special pet and other chemical finished products, it is recommended to use resin carbon belt, because the composition of the resin can meet the above requirements,

However, this ribbon is usually expensive, but the printing effect must be paired with paper/print media to achieve the best level of printing.

Hybrid Base Carbon Belt That is, wax and resin mixed as the main material, as a coating material products. The proportion of mixing changes with the need, mainly used for surface relatively smooth materials, generally for more stringent surface requirements of the product is more suitable for use, such as the marking of ordinary expendable products, its performance is combined with the advantages of the two carbon bands listed above.
